there's really no ability to clean up tracks on the alesis -- other than cropping, fades, etc.

the problem is that trying to do even things like that -- and simple tasks like naming tracks -- is a big pain when not done on the computer.

burning to CD-R is wasteful of the CD-Rs. it also takes a bit of time. would be easier/faster for me to copy files to a laptop or USB drive (which could be reused) and take to the station. not a HUGE deal, but it does matter a bit to me. i prefer not to create waste where i can avoid it.
