Source code is available in the same download as compiled binaries, so nothing stops anybody from re-compiling it. I did it, in fact SSSE3 (max. supported by e2140 CPU), changing some other compiler optimization settings in the process to my liking. I don't mind sharing it (e-mail), but there's pretty good chance it won't be optimal for your taste. For instance, settings I ended up with are somewhat different from what was in Otachan's project.

He finished with it in 2006, that's possible reason why there's only SSE2 version in the download.
