Just curious, but, why shouldn't bit perfect red book
be the aim of PC audio, given that there are not that many
hi-res recordings available, as compared to vinyl and CD?

I haven't heard (m)any here who say that they believe
native hi-res recordings can not sound superior.

Perhaps you are confusing detractors of the
"upsampling is always mo' bettah" position,
about which there does seem to be legitimate debate?

Can you explain your apparent derision towards thoee
in pursuit of bit perfect Red Book?

thanks
