Hi Roastaman, I've used an iMic on my older G4 with Audacity and this works. Played back on my stereo, the dynamics seemed lacking, but I think it would be totally fine for the car. My G4 doesn't have a mic input, so I can't say what that would be like.

What I'd do is set up Audacity, and give it a try via your mic input as there's no money outlay. Then if it's not to your liking, you can go from there, but you'll already have the software side set up. I don't have any with Final Vinyl, unfortunately.

For myself, I'm waiting until I can afford a better ADC before committing so much time to the recording process. :-)
