G4 Mac Mic Input or Griffin iMic?

I want to record LP's to CD for car listening. I will use preamp tape outputs to either mic input or to Griffin iMic (USB), any advantage in sound quality using USB interface? Also, what would be better Final Vinyl or Audacity?
