Guys, sorry for a delayed response.

Since I am planning to use old computer as for music only (with connection to internet for cover art only, it seems that approach will work if not perfectly.

Some of the links seem to be very helpful and will continue to explore, at least it seems that ripping off the CD-s will not be wasted time.
