Burning audio to DVD

I have Alcohol 120%, trial versions of Audio DVD Maker and Creator and I can't seem to get any of them to work or for long if they do work. The Alcohol just keeps burning WAV files (data disc) onto the DVD's. Couldn't get Audio DVD Maker to work at all and Audio DVD Creator worked once but with audible glitches and now it keeps crashing. The only burning software I can get to work reliably right now is my old trusty Roxio but just for burning CDR's from wav files ripped using EAC. I am running XP serv. pak 2 (not 3). Also, Audio DVD Creator burns DVDA format. My PC's DVD player program would not recognise it, my Sony $50 DVD player wouldn't recognise it but my Marantz DV9500 universal would play it. I thought DVDA's would play in any DVD player. My store bought DAD/HDAD discs from Acoustic Sounds play in the Sony and output 24/96. The Marantz won't output 24/96. This is just too damn frustrating. All this has to get easier if the music companies want me to download 16/44 and 24/96 files in the future since all the bricks and mortar CD/DVD stores are closing. End of rant. Any suggestions?
