2 thoughts come to mind.

Get a better ripping program and or a better player.

Before you ditch the PC route, try dbpower amp and try albumplayer for the player.

Both will get cover art, so you can have 2 good passes at it. IIRC Album player was a lot more accurate than winamp. It will also handle the .wav format set up in folders like you showed. Just select the 3rd option when importing files (do a search here for posts I have done as I have screen shots on how to do it right).

Jriver may work too. I never really got going with it, and album player just looks better IMHO and has ASIO, so that is about all one needs.
