As I posted recently, I just added a flash HDD and it has preformed great as a drive for the OS.

I thought I was on the right track by eliminating vibrations in the pc and noise with the flash drive and using external USB hdds.

That was until I re-read Cics papers where he recommends SATA drives because they don't use the PCI bus like external USB drives do.

SO remembering that the dac in my case is in the PC, which woul dhave the most negative impact on the sound? Extra Vibration or sharing the PCI buss??
