You might want to try this cyber power battery operated hub:

with 2 - 5 meter cables. I use 1 on each server to isolate the 5v noise. In this case you can use it to extend the usb past its 5 meter limit. The belkin gold cables are also at newegg for about $7/ea. Note: I do not work for newegg but they get a lot of my money (ha ha)
