I think that is a bit harsh

Complaining about "ridiculously overpriced" products is, well, just plain ridiculous. What is ridiculous to you is a bargain to another. Is it ridiculous to drive a $100,000 Mercedes when a $10,000 KIA will get you there just the same (unless you happen to crash on the way)? The examples are endless but the point is we all have different price points we are comfortable with and different sets of criteria for judging value and hopefully buy accordingly.

I agree that by posting here, he as well as others are promoting their own products, but the bigger question is are we all better off because they do post. I think the answer is definitely yes. I also don't think they veil who they are.

If I'm asking questions about computer audio I really do value the opinion of those who are pushing the leading edge and think I'm smart enough to add into the equation where it comes from. Gordon promotes 16/44.1 NOS and Steve promotes 24/96. I'm clever enough to realize that is what their products are geared to, even though I do see Gordon is adding higher rates to his products.

I think AA should allow them to put a disclaimer on their posts identifying who they are and what they sell to level the playing field for those who are new or are not so clever.
