I still think Vista for ASYNC products is a better avenue. Though XP does work (make sure you are up too date SP2 etc...), Vista does work allot better.

The reason I like J River is that it is all inclusive. Error free Ripping, playback etc... With XP ASIO would be a requirement.

With Vista you could just as easily use iTunes, Windows Media player or any other DirectSound option including J River, Foobar, Winamp etc...
