The TT producer is a slightly older unit, does 48kHz/24 bit max. Has USB in , 2 sets of stereo line ins and one set of line outs on RCA jacks, as well as a built in phono pre for MM. I use the tape outs of my preamplifier since it has a very good MC phono pre.
I used the 44.1k / 32 bit floating point setting in audacity. No use downmixing from 48k. The recording level is set with the slider next to the microphone icon (I had to use 0.7 as the full level from my phono pre clipped).
All the latest external soundcards have 96kHz capability but with the resolution of my system (no 'reference level' electronics here) I don't think I would hear the difference.
Record the entire album side onto one track. Pause and then record the other side.
When you're done: click the cursor on the middle of the silences between tracks, and 'ctrl-B' gives you a labeling capability. Enter the name of the track, when you're finished go to the next silence and do the same thing.
Then choose 'export multiple' and audacity will export your file into different WAV files in the folder of your choice.
Be sure to read the detailed docu. on exporting and burning to CD format on the audacity wiki page.
Cheers and good luck!
