I don't understand your "loudness " factor. If you are inferring that this is like the loudness control on some recievers than you are gravely mistaken.
Proper use of the full scale 24 bit depth and DC offsets are in no way like a loudness contour. Luckily it can be corrected while in the digital realm but once converted to analog with these problems it is hopeless. What this does is move the lowest level signal out of the noise floor of the d/a.
