J.River MediaJukeBox using Direct sound and set your hardware to 24/44..

I've just recently switched from Foobar/ASIO4ALL on Vista to a/m config. and the sound has become more relaxed, smoother, less bright and less fatiguing and much more natural.

I also tried J.River/ASIO but the DirectSound output as explained above sounded much better.

Still breaking-in my current set-up so I'm hoping for even better performance once they're broken-in.

Mr. Gordon Rankin in some posts down below concurs to this as well.
