I agree with those who feel there is a magic warmth, smoothness, and palpability to good vinyl that is missing from digital. Since I go to classical concerts regularly, I know what live sounds like. It is not exactly vinyl. In fact good digital-SACD or 24/96 pcm in my opinion sounds more like live. But vinyl has a magic that some might prefer to even high-rez digital. Sometimes I do.At any rate, I have found, as others have suggested, that upsampling helps. So does rolling off the highs with a digital equalizer.(I can hear the boos, but try it.) To add a realistic 3D effect you might try SRS Sandbox, a $20 plug-in. I tried Berwen Bobcat but found it simply dulled the sound in my system. Sounded like the music had been rubbed with fine sand paper. Also, when I had a Lite 38 DAC I found it to be very analogue sounding. Some say it is similar to the Lavry 10.
I have archived dozens of LP's to my hard drive using a lynx L22. Some sound, with DSP, better than the original, some sound worse than the original. None have captured 100% of the magic of vinyl. It does come close.
