You may want to try and use a program were you can list file types. This would easily determine which files might be best to keep and re-rip.
For the PC all in one program I suggest J River. It does have secure (error correcting) ripping as well as good support for many pluggins and format types.
As for cards the Lynx L22 would be my first choice. It works great for an internal card for both ad da processing.
I think Bias has some code for encoding albums. Of course every time I did this it took longer than I wanted. You have to record the album, break it down to songs and then cue them.
