I did mention in my post that the Shakti stone had a rubber bottom ... and does have some weight. This is placed on a laptop over the touch pad. Is it not possible for it to have an affect on the sound? Just 45 mins ago I thought something was amiss wiht the system... I looked and I had not replaced the Shakti stone. I put it on and I do feel the system sounded better. Is that blind enough? I do call in my daughter sometimes to change things for me blind sometimes... but I do like long term and then taking the thing out of the system for awhile to see if I miss it. It really seems to help to put that silly stone on top of the laptop. btw... in case you missed my first post... I don't even like Shakti stones on any of my equipment. I bought three while at ces for a good price and had "fun" putting them on different components, but ultimately always took them off. We'll see if I do the same with the computer... but it's been on the comp for well over 4 months now.I kinda also tend to think that people can fend for themselves and manufactures do have a tag stating who they are. These are some of the most passionate people there are in audio (and I don't think it's all about the money) and I want to hear from them. If they tell me to put colored rocks on top of speakers for multi bucks... I can call it bs in my own mind and move on...
btw... did the talk of Shakti Stones below come from another forum/post? Has anyone else out there tried them on a laptop?
