Following the foobarians I'm ripping with eac to big wav image files plus separate cue sheets.
But when I was young and foolish I backed up a lot of CDs using the basic eac routine that makes separate wavs for each track; you stick 'em in a separate file for each CD and there's no cue at all. There's a couple hundred on a hard drive.
It would be nice to convert these without re-ripping. The best tool I've found is CueMake (available at http://www.synthetic-soul.co.uk/files/cuemake/). There's freeware to consolidate wavs and freeware to make cues, but this is the only one I've found that does both, which also gives you more confidence that track timings will match up.
But the cue sheet CueMake makes looks like this:

So it will need a lot of manual editing.
In a rational universe, eac would have tool that would use its links to freedb to fill in this data and automate the cue making, just as it does when making an image from a CD stuck in a drive.
Does anyone know of a better way of doing this?
(I'm aware from searching that there is some sentiment in favor of always keeping tracks in separate wav files, though it's not clear to me (a) how to get eac to do that *and* make a cue sheet or (b) how foobar would handle one great folder with thousands of tracks.)
