Fred,

The first thing I did was make a new power supply for the damn thing. When I had my USB analyzer on it there seemed to be errors when I tried higher rates. So I made a little linear unit and most of them went away. I think from recolection that I used LT1086-5 with a hexfred and some black gates.

I did not install all the BS as I found that usually causes problems down the line. Instead I only installed their ASIO, driver and their setup program. I have had some glitches with the setup program in the past. Sometimes it just goes off and resets itself to something else.

I did not check out the spdif, I think it's only good to 24/96 from something I read somewhere.

Inside it's pretty basic unit but it does have dual Crystek low jitter osc for 44.1/88.2/176.4 and 48/96/192. The unit does do bulk mode and so should preform pretty well. Though does have that damn driver issue which maybe better maybe not.

Good luck...
Thanks
Gordon
