I bought the usb for a computer with no space for a sound card and it works well up with wav files up 192k with:

Foobar asio dll; no dsp; 24 bit padded to 32; output buffer set to 63; direct monitor; time critical; thread priority on Playback Low to Mid. High seems to cause hf sharpness.

Upsampling src to 88.2k (tried so far). Will not work on low playback buffer of say 8.

Only issue is occasional 2-5s interrutption (near silent) where there seems to be buffering going on.

Software update is useless (no info).

Would not install the 800 Mb of 'tools' they provided; just 100 Mb of driver with really simple panel control. Hope spdif out works - they say it doesn't except with some software.

Any one found a way of overcoming the interruptions? Gordon?

The usb dac sounds rather good.
