Has anybody made MEANINGFUL comparisons between PC and decent CD transport?

129.33.19.254

Something like:

1. Foobar with ASIO --> USB input in DAC
vs.
decent CD Transport (let's say $2K+ new) --> SPDIF or AES/EBU input of the same DAC, using decent ($350+ new) digital cable.

2. Foobar with ASIO --> USB to SPDIF(AES/EBU) converter (HagUSB or any other) --> SPDIF(AES/EBU) input in DAC
vs.
the same as "vs." in #1,
both using the same digital cable.

Would be interesting to read about actual comparisons, with make and model of DAC, CD transport and cable mentioned. Another thing - let's not turn this into "digital cable doesn't make any difference" debate.
