shoutcast perils...

I used to run a shoutcast station way long time ago... I was one of the only people that had a 128k stereo stream at the time.

Everyone thought I was mad, since at the time, most shoutcast stations were 32-64k and you were lucky to get a 96k... and even luckier to find 96k MONO... (128k stereo = 2 64k channels, so a 96k mono station would sound pretty good)

Anyway, while 128k may sound like crap compared to the real thing, there was a time when you were downright blessed to find an online station with 128k. All things are relative.
