digital out with VISTA question

when you go digital out to your DAC with VISTA is it going out as 41Hz, 48Hz or other...for some reason my DAC does not lock on to my digital signal...foobar plays, the spdif meters move showing a signal is passing through but when I connect my DAC, nothing.
