Mac messing with it? Whatever computer you use it's going to 'mess with' whatever audio you put thru it.If Tidal is truly streaming 16/44.1, set Audio MIDI setup to 44.1. Or, you can possibly use Pure Music or Audirvana Plus which may 'mess with it' more to your liking. ;-)
Look to Audirvana Plus as well as Pure Music.
