thanks for the interesting advice.What are you using to connect the U12 to the X12 ?
I have the U12 as well and I tend to prefer AES/EBU ... the sound seems more relaxed, large while maintaining a nice detail.
I use a very cheap but good Canare AES cable.
Actually I use the same cable also for analog signals.
