If you have a couple 'spare' PCs or Macs you can try a 'proof of concept' for yourself. Use them as network end-points running Roon Bridge, and/or the HQPlayer Network Audio Daemon.I had my main Mac Mini running Roon+HQPlayer. I had my 2nd Mac Mini running Roon Bridge and/or the HQPlayer Network Audio Daemon as well as the microRendu streamer, both as network end-points. I never tried streaming to both simultaneously.
I think you can try for yourself FREE of charge with trial software downloads.
BTW, HQPlayer can be a resource hog on the server side when upsampling to DSD.
