Have been a WMP user for a couple of years.
IMHO WMP is a bit too limited.
You can't choose audio drivers hence one is forced to use DS.
DS is not bit-perfect by design and the SRC is a bit poor.

The interface is very limited.
WMP11 had the Advanced Editor. This has been removed in WMP12.
If you want custom tags, you have a problem.

My advice would be to look at players like MusicBee.
Supports drivers like WASAPI and ASIO.
Flexible interface
Support custom tags.
