Home Computer Audio Asylum

Music servers and other computer based digital audio technologies.

That's an old bogus myth these days.

Upon initial launch El Capitan had a couple USB audio problems but those were soon resolved with an update. It's probably not a good idea to upgrade to the latest OS from any vendor when it first comes out. It will have bugs AND it takes a while for 3rd party developers to update their software and drivers. I usually wait until the first OS update or later before installing it on my computer.

I have Mac OS X 10.11.5 "El Capitan" (the latest) running on my Mac Mini. I also just tried it with Audirvana Plus 2.5.3 (the latest) and that works fine too out to my PS Audio NuWave DSD DAC.

And as you know, I have also been playing around with Roon Core, Roon Bridge, and HQPlayer. They all run fine on Mac OS X "El Capitan".
