Just curious, what OS are you running on your PC that you normally have the DAC8 attached to?Win7SP2
And does ARC provide a driver that you install onto your PC?
Yes, I was provided with a CD containing drivers. OTOH, I'm not really using the PC as the player. The DAC has always been attached to the Touch (uRendu) and never directly to the PC. It is merely a fileserver.
Does your mRendu "see" and report any info at all on your DAC8?
Fails to see anything. Also, I set the "app switcher" to Squeezelite. Got the green "Running" message. If I go to another option and return, it then says "Stopped". I've tried rebooting a number of times along with restarting Squeezelite.
edit: I checked the manual which suggests that I need to load the drivers in order to use the USB 2.0 input. The manual goes through the installation process but focuses on the use of it as a Windows source - which is not really what I intend to do. Do you suppose the installation loads anything remotely on the DAC?
