RE: Cat 5 vs Cat 6A




I use this crimping tool to make my own cables. It's only for 8PR cables (not the ones for phones or mouthpieces-that's a different tool). I am an electrician (actually an electrical engineering major) use cat5 for short cables with plugs on ends or trhough conduits when they're for phone circuits and cat6 for lan circuits. This crimping tool cost me 5 euros (wholesale price-normally they cost 15 euros)
