I have played around with RPi2 using Volumio & piCorePlayer. Not bad but not as good as my WS2012/Bughead rig. What has been an absolute surprise has been an Android/USB Audio Player Pro/external DAC combo. This was brought to my attention by Soundcheck who posted about it on this forum a while back. However, be warned there are some issues setting this up on a non-rooted android. Also, usability is not great but it is hilarious that I have fiddled around so much with LPS and all manner of PC add-ons & "optimi$ation$" to find that my phone (which I have been carrying around all the time) can be made to sound so good, so easily and inexpensively! YMMV.
