I don't think you understand how MQA works.

It has nothing to do with your playback software. It is/can be stored in a FLAC container and the HARDWARE (DAC) must decode.

Yes, you MUST BUY NEW HARDWARE (DAC)...

OR

Have a DAC that can add MQA decoding via firmware update.

To GET this firmware update on such a DAC, the DAC manufacturer must send
their DAC to Meridian for examination. Then fees must be paid.

How does this all sound?
