Agree...

I've used McAfee and somewhat recent Norton Anti-Virus on older Windows OS in the past. Both stopped malware and viruses and protected the system but for newer Windows versions, I've found Windows Defender to be sufficient and less intrusive for my needs. Unless one makes a habit of visiting dubious websites and opening crap-mail, I think Windows Defender is good.
