RE: Android Powered USB DAC...Game Changer?

Hi.

You need to be careful with Android. Google still doesn't put much focus on quality audio.
If you're lucky your phone manufacturer tweaks the audio performance a little.

But usually there's an Android mixer in the path.
Beside that your data usually gets rather low quality resampled by default.
Things we usually get rid off under Windows/OSX/Linux for a reason.


Further Android IMO can't compete with a (headless) audio optimized Linux PC. There's too much ongoing on an Android device.

However. It's all not that bad.

You might want to try the "USB Audio Player Pro" app.
That one passes the Android mixer by and is made with
audiophile qualities in mind.
You can also play back with native sample rates.
