The ASIO buffer seems to have been set at the 2048 value which is fairly common. In my experience, varying ASIO buffers does not have the same effect as varying the KS buffers, and there can be very big differences in transparency and SQ between lowest and highest values.
This leads me to the point. Those USB converters that have variable buffers lend themselves to as much user fine tuning as Tweak software.
