RE: Anyone had success with the micro PCs for streaming server?

Many UK enthusists have succesfully used the Raspberry Pi to play/stream audio. However you have to have fairly high computing skills to use it. It is not a PC in the normal sense and the codes to use it will have to be written by you. It is designed for people to learn programing so there is no equivalent of Windows or iOS as a GUI.

There was an interesting letter publshed in HiFi News a few months ago (there are no links to HFN articles). The reader had succesfully implemented the Raspberry Pi as an audio player but found it difficult to do and that it required signficant input from his computer professional son. Of course you may well have all the skills. I certainly do not and would stick with a "finished" PC solution.
