Will the Audio Quest USB filter work between Oppo and external hard drive?

I run an external hard drive with seperate power supply into an Oppo 105 Blu-ray, multiformat disc spinner. This allows me to use the Sabre based dac. The AudioQuest USB filter would plug inline properly. Will it work between hard drive and player? Studied AQ website but not sure.
