Power supply upgrade for fiber optic audio application.

I think you'll find the stock switch mode wall wart to be inferior for a fiber optic audio application. I recommend at least to replace the stock switching power supply with a basic regulated linear power supply wall-wart priced around 6 bucks via eBay. I did such for a digital audio optical splitter/repeater and found it definitely sounded better than the stock switch mode PSU. However, I found an inexpensive audiophile quality power supply unit sourced from eBay to sound substantially better than the previous wall-wart upgrade. A very worthwhile modest expense and effort.

Since your application requires a power supply unit for each device, the dual output DC-2 model would be an even more affordable option to consider, including the need of only one aftermarket audiophile power cord upgrade if you wish, since I find the single output DC-1 model to be very sensitive to power cord swapping. I settled for a DIY Acrolink 7N-P4020III power cord terminated with Oyaide P-079 AC plug and Oyaide C-079 IEC connector in my cable collection.
