Using silicone bathtub sealer to secure a heavy metal bar in place wouldn't be my choice construction method.If one of those caps (the larger one?) came lose from the C4 position as marked on the PCB, it doesn't appear that it was ever soldered securely in the first place.
Was the bar glued to the inside top of the case 'hanging over' the component side of the PCB?
