Then I am going to make it REAL simple.
The "streamers" I speak about..Bryston, Simaudio, T&A, Aurender, SOtM, Bel Canto, Auralic, and dozens more are HIGHER end..yes HIGHER end then the SBTm, the Apple TV, etc.
I used SBT's, I used Sonos, I used many cost effective clients. Just like you they all received files from a central library...but here is what you deny, or refuse to except, or just can't fathom...
The performance gains by the next step are enormously easy to ear.
The day I compared the Bryston BDP-1 to my squeezebox was a game changer. Same files, same DAC, same digital cable, same ethernet cable etc,
I really hope you "get" what I am describing now..for the tenth time.
Now let me conclude that distributed/networked audio with Apple TV, Roku..what ever is fine..but there are higher levels of performance to be achieved.
There is no magic.
