RE: Some worthwhile reading & reference for anyone wanting to dig deeper...

I would consider reading some books on the topic.

Good idea 'cept the books you cite, excellent though I'm sure they are, don't seem to focus on the topic of mains power supplies. IME, it's a bit of a specialism.

OTOH, Ben Duncan, the author fmak cites, published a book-length collection of off-prints called "Audio Quality Mains Supplies" way back in 1999, the year I bought my copy. Not cheap but I can recommend it as it reproduces (not terribly well, at least not then, but that's copyright for you) UK journal and magazine articles from 1985 to 1998 reflecting the author's experience as a consultant to the recording industry and the audio reproduction sector.

1985? Gosh. That's over 30 years ago. Is it that time already?
