but it seems to me that what you describe should happen not at the transport, but at the DAC. The PS Audio DirectStream DAC, and APL's DSD DAC will take any level signal and upconvert to DSD on the fly. That way, - you don't need to worry about what goes in....
To me, - this is exciting new technology, if well implemented, it should garner popularity.
