for what you speak I can't say anything.
I went the Squeezebox route when they were slimdevices, many years ago, went through all iterations, since most of my stuff is only available at CD quality Sonos is fine.
I have a bluesound node for high res WAV and a windows 8.1 laptop / foobar2000 for DSD using an Aune S16 DSD DAC.
I got it all, just wish someone would re-standardize music, too many choices, and no we don't need physical disks. I am happy paying $10 a month for s*hit.
