Transitioning away from tradition: the internet of things

So, as many have been saying: Apple is moving further & further toward an iPhone/iPAD world: which makes their devices more and more useless for high-end audio playback.

I found the article in Business Insider, (though as usual, cursory), interesting in that the "internet of things" and passive, connected devices: are where the future is headed.

The Engadget article, is just one more good point on the transition away from wires: and the fact that the new Apple laptops are expensive ASUS netbooks.

"Asylums with doors open wide,
Where people had paid to see inside,
For entertainment they watch his body twist
Behind his eyes he says, 'I still exist.'"
