I have an older HP computer that is an AMD dual core at 1.3 and it might be that it is not capable of handling 24/192 through usb as I am getting some drop outs, not a lot, but enough (2-4 per 4 minutes of play) that it is irritating. I have no issues if I stay at 2496. My usbs are 2.0 . I am unable to use ASIO4ALL with the Yamaha MG as choosing it automatically changes my playback device to the internal sound card.
It may be time for a new computer and at least an I7? thoughts.
The device is a Yamaha MG16/XU that uses Steinberg drivers for the usb 24/192. It sounds excellent when it is working.
