RE: buy a usb cable or thumbdrive?

I don't think sound quality is the issue. I found that my Oppo BDP-105D kept my USB hard drive spinning as long as the Oppo was turned on. In other words, when I was watching movies or streaming Netflix, my hard drive was constantly spinning. Therefore, I decided to use USB flash drives instead. I bought two 256-GB flash drives for the rear ports and I switch out different flash drives in the front port. I load them with my favorite music. I have 4-TB of music, but I discovered that I listen to only a small portion of it, so I just select my favorite albums to load onto my flash drives.

Best regards,
John Elison
