Oh HELL NO!

You don't get to get off that easily. What is it about the above that you do not agree with? You do not agree that many currently available DACs are internally/self powering the USB? That the "Wyrd" device is not needed in this case (only when a DAC provides it's own 5 Volt power?

Or do you disagree that continuing to supply an external (from the computer) 5 Volt/Ground while the DAC supplies it's own WILL lower sonic potential?

Don't run away, come back and fight like a man. At least try not to take this shite too damned seriously. After all, it's supposed to be fun Aint it?
