I get high resolution downloads of live music from the Internet Archives. There's CD quality stuff here as well as high resolution stuff for those who, like me, want to give it a try without spending $20 or more for the same old titles of the same old music of the same old artists we've been buying for decades.
Granted there's not a great selection but I've managed to find more than 100 free high quality downloads from this site. These are actually live recordings and many of them sound pretty damn awesome. The good ones have less character than vinyl (ie. they are very raw and unprocessed) and lack the sameness of CDS.
If you've got an interest in high resolution at least check it out. I buy and/or attend concerts of artists who make this music available free of charge.
