Except that the Gizmodo article was given a wide circulation among the very
audience Pono is trying to reach by being used as the basis for a "Hi-Rez
Sucks!" article in the New York Post.

The Meyer-Moran AES paper cited by the Gizomodo author as "proving" that
there is no sonic benefit from anything more than Red Book CD was bad
science performed by a non-engineer and a non-scientist: badly designed
tests, badly performed, with wrong and misleading conclusions reached
for the wrong reasons.

A far more rigorous repeat of the testing, which reached the opposite
conclusion was presented at the AES Convention last October; see link
below.
